Learning Bee

Learning Bee is an after-school enrichment center with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Learning Bee offers a safe, nurturing environment for children to grow academically and emotionally.

On March 27, 2014, Stella dropped by the Learning Bee after-school enrichment center based in Fremont. She was welcomed by Grace Wong, the founder and operator. As Stella's older brother (and team mentor), Jaemin, had founded the first robotics program at Learning Bee, Grace was excited to see that his sister was carrying on his legacy and working with Learning Bee to augment her robotics experience. After some catching up and a brief overview of this year's team and game, Grace very graciously agreed to sponsor Voltage of Imagination, giving Stella a check on the spot. She and Stella also discussed employing members of Voltage at Learning Bee to supplement the existing robotics staff. There was also talk of opening up an FTC summer class alongside the existing FLL class to create a progression of robotics programs. Though the idea is still in the works, Voltage is ecSTATIC about working with Learning Bee in the future to inspire the next generation of engineers.
