Best Friends Learning Center

On the morning of June 13, the team gathered for an early showing of X-Men and grabbed a quick lunch before heading to Best Friends Learning Center in Fremont, CA for a demonstration of their robot. The demonstration was split between two age groups, grades 1-3 and 4-8. The younger group seemed uninterested and distracted while listening to what robotics was about but became quickly fascinated when the robot came to life. The students were taught about the different mechanics and abilities of the robot, as well as how to drive it. The older group of students expressed much interest by asking questions and paying close attention. Many were happy to know that Voltage of Imagination was set to teach a week long, intensive camp in the summer. All in all, the day was eventful and productive.
