On Sunday, Jan 15, Team 7591 Voltage of Imagination attended the Github qualifier at San Francisco. After a few hours of delay due to connectivity issues (and a fire evacuation), VOI ended the qualifying matches undefeated with a score of 6 - 0. Allied with team 8872 Robopocalypse, VOI swept the elimination rounds to become the winning alliance captain.

A brilliant autonomous program, combined with PID control over flywheel power, won the Control Award for the team. VOI was also nominated for the Inspire, Think, Connect, Rockwell-Collins Innovate, PTC Design, and Motivate awards.

In the fourth qualifier match at Github, VOI partnered with Robopocalypse to score an impressive total of 245 points, just 15 points short of the world record. The video for the match is below.

The qualifier at Github marks the first time that VOI has been winning alliance captain in over two years and the team hopes that Sunday was only the first of many victories to come. VOI's next competition will be the NorCal regional tournament in February, where the team will be competing against other top teams in the region.
