Learning Bee

On Monday, June 9, 2014, the five returning members for the '14-'15 team (Jonathan, Stella, Samantha, Youngju, Claire) took a trip to the Fremont Learning Bee after school enrichment center. At 4:00PM, the team presented itself, its experience, and FTC to a group of roughly 35 elementary and middle school students. The students learned about the FIRST Tech Challenge and the engineering process. They also watched a demonstration of Zapdos on a makeshift field! We were hoping to let the students drive the bot, but unfortunately, we ran out of battery. We did have an intensive Q&A session, which we feel was a good sign that we inspired the students. After the 30 minute presentation, the team was offered positions as staff at Learning Bee to teach robotics. Though nothing is yet confirmed, we would love to be able to take on the challenge and be more directly involved in helping the next generation of engineers grow!

Also, our 2014-2015 gallery has been updated! Check it out. :)
