Robotics Workshop - Newark

On Saturday, the team hosted a robotics workshop at the Newark library. Working with about 40 kids from ages 6 - 13, the team showed that robotics is not a field limited to the professional world, but rather something that people of all ages can appreciate. At the workshop, the kids not only enjoyed an inspiring opening presentation, but also constructed catapults, built straw towers, and took turns driving a robot. They also engaged in an enriching programming activity, in which they created a simple "Pong" game.

The team was very satisfied with the outcome of the outreach, believing that the event was an unforgettable experience for all participants. As software lead Howard Shan declared, "The passion that these kids showed really moved something deep inside me. It was simply overwhelming."
